Am I Lacking in ECs?

I am currently a junior and I've been looking at a lot of "chance me" threads as of late. I'm starting to feel pretty insecure about next year because I've seen a lot of people get rejected even with fantastic stats. I'm not worried about my academics at the moment, but I would like someone to comment on my ECs. My dream college is Duke University.

GPA: 3.83 (unweighted) 4.8 (weighted on a 5 point scale)
ACT: 34
SAT: have not taken SAT II: have not taken (will take in June)
My school does not rank

ECs
Cross Country: 9, 10, 11, 12 (captain?)
Track: 9, 10, 11, 12 (captain?)
Radio Broadcasting: 10, 11, 12 (Sports Director)
-(I'm sending in a few of my productions for the 2009 John Drury Awards, which is a national radio competition, and I expect to place in multiple categories)
Yearbook: 11, 12 (Sports Editor)
Student Tutor: 11, 12
National Honors Society: 11, 12
Cum Laude Society: 11, 12
(all of the 12's are tentative, but I'm positive I'll rejoin all of them next year. The captain spots are not for sure, but Sports Director and Sports Editor and locks)

I also studied abroad in Costa Rica with a program called LPI last summer

The main reason for my insecurity is my lack of community service. I've done some community service through my church and my school, but not through a club. I'm wondering if I should join the Interact Club next year in order to beef up my ECs, but I think my real pride in my ECs is Radio Broadcasting since it's unique and I could place in a national competition for Play-by-Play Commentary.

Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

No, you are fine as you are. Don’t join anything you don’t want to, and keep it up.

I’m in agreement with Poseidenj. You are better concentrating on what makes you unique–and in demonstrating this to Duke. Excelling in something special (like Radio Broadcasting) would be preferable to just saying you spent a few meetings in Interact club (and I say this as a former Interact president who was accepted to Brown).

Good luck.

P.S. My answer would be different if you were planning to major in a medical science. Then I’d say that some sort of volunteer service in a medical capacity would be a “must”.
