yes if you do really well the end of this semester and next year first semester and on your college application. your grades and classes make it iffy but with all those clubs, assuming you were in each of them for more than two years, and a good essay and such, yes you probably can. of course i might be wrong but thats what i think.

You may want to increase your chances by studying and taking the SAT again in order to get the CR/M combo up. Have you attempted the ACT? If not, try it.

Get that SAT score (CR/M) UP.

Get your SAT up. Take a prep course or use the SAT forum on CC.

If you end up waitlisted, have a teacher write an additional rec with specific examples of why she thinks you’ll succeed there–that pushed a student at my school, also in IB but with a lower GPA/higher SAT, over the edge.

Thanks! I know I need to raise that sat score. Took the act but did worse. I don’t know what you mean by my grades make it iffy…I’m a straight A IB student, are you aware of the IB program and all its rigor? lol!

Oh well I’m glad my teachers like me and that I know if I asked, I could get a plethora of teacher recommendations!

oh yes, i meant the grade for the sat. your grades are amazing man. although it kind of sucks that you can’t get a higher weighted, thats really only for show. but definitely get sat up, and if you can do that well in school, ACT should really be no problem.

ha I wish. I took the act and recently got the scores back…I didn’t do real good.

Oh and I re-calculated my GPA. My unweighted is a 3.9, not a 3.8.

well then hopefully they wont mind that your sat didnt compare to your gpa. sat really is just a ruler to how many months of sat prep school you went to. so if you just write a good essay then they then they probably will skip over your scores, hopefully. cause you have good extraccurricular and gpa so they know you work hard.
