Am I making a good decision? -PLEASE HELP ME!

Hi, I am currently a sophomore in HS. I am in honors science right now and I found out that it's too challenging for me. I am getting D ~ F in my class. This hurts my GPA a lot. I am trying to change my class to regular science class, I am in a process (talking with my dean, advisor, and science teacher). Do you think going to regular science is a good decision to make?

Thank you in advance!!

Listen. Obviously you’re in other Honors classes, you’re probably doing well in them. So don’t worry the gradeis the only thing that affects your GPA not if it’s honors or not. Go to regular science and do your best. YOU’RE A SOPHMORE DUDE! Relax, you can worry about all this when you’re a junior or senior like I am. Just get the best grades you can. AND just because it’s not honors anymore doesn’t mean you should try less! Good luck.

Yes, going to regular science is a good decisions for you.

The grade you are getting in honors science is a signal that it is - for whatever reason - too hard for you right now.

Go do regular science as well as you can and the grades and all that will take care of itself.

Be who you are, not who you think you should be!!!

I agree - switch out of honors. Generally speaking, a B in an honors class is better than an A in a regular level class - colleges really look at rigor - they want to see you challenge yourself with honors level and AP classes. But once that grade drops to a C or lower - it is time to get out.
