<p>Hey guys I've answered most of the questions for UMass Amherst on the Common App, but can't seem to find a writing supplement. Is there no writing supplement/set of essays for UMass Amherst? </p>

<p>Two years ago when my son applied (and I am assuming that it hasn’t changed), there was no additional writing supplement for UMass, just the Common app essay.</p>
<p>Yes, MominMA, you are right, no writtng suplement for UMASS this year too. My S had to do that just for Syracuse U.</p>

<p>Are you kidding? The admissions office can barely get through the applications they get. If you add a writing supplement then some wouldn’t know about their admission until after May 1st…</p>
<p>Same reason why UMass doesn’t interview—they would be swamped.</p>
