Am I missing something???

Is there no housing questionnaire? Hello? Gah, this is unsettling... i was planning to be closedminded to social opportunities and request a single. Apparently they are just winging it over at williams when it comes to housing?

Hmmm... They said they'll be mailing that mid-May I think? Or is that for course registration materials? I'm not sure... I didn't even recieve my orientation materials yet (I'm int'l though...). :(

Don't worry - the housing questionnaire will be sent to everyone - I believe 60-70% freshmen will have a single room anyway.

yeah, it's like 58% percent or something. it didn't come with the course registration materials, which is why i was worried. but, i suppose it would be a different division of the college, being housing and all... not really registrar stuff.

There were more unallocated rooms resulting from the room lottery of the upper class two or three weeks ago. This means that there will be more single rooms avaliable this coming year.

I called Williams and a lady from the Dean's office said that the housing information will be mailed shortly.

Actually mvleeabc, the leftover rooms from the housing lottery have nothing to do with the chances of a frosh landing a double vs. a single. Frosh live in entries in one of the freshman dorms; the class of '09 will live in the same rooms as the class of '08 did this year and my class did last year.

Still lots of singles available-- I think it's something like half the frosh rooms, which works out to about a third of the class in singles. Not bad at all.
