I plan on going to UF for undergraduate, which I'm not too concerned about. Although I plan to go to a top school for business for an MBA, I feel like at the moment (in high school) I don't have much to be worrying about. I feel like I should be studying or something, or maybe I have become tainted by all the people on these forums. Am I out of my mind or is it relaxing to be in high school if you're not going Ivy?

Also, when is the right time to worry about graduate school?

A lot of students - here on CC and outside of CC - have turned high school into a high-stress environment, where every little thing that they do has to be perfectly attuned for getting them into the best possible college. In other words, instead of trying to find a college that is best for them and their abilities (meaning what they can do comfortably while trying their best, but without killing themselves to do it), they attempt to shoehorn themselves into a college that may not be the best fit for prestige reasons.

I don’t think that’s what admissions counselors ever meant the process to be like, although it does make the top schools look better and rake in that money. It is perfectly fine to relax in high school as well as you are doing the best that you can do. Don’t worry about graduate school until you are in college – of course, you can think about it and make sure that you do the kinds of things that will help you get in (in the case of an MBA program, getting business-related internships during the summers and taking economics and business classes in undergrad, and getting the best grades possible) but those are things that will just help you in the long run anyway.
