Am I "National Merit - Commended"?

I remember, back when I was living in Asia, that after performing somewhat well on the PSAT, I received a letter about the National Merit (I qualify for the program as I was and still am a US Citizen). At any rate, at that time, I did not understand the significance of such a program and now that I see this label on many resumes of students on this board, I am wondering if this is something that I can put on my resume.

The problem is that I do not have the letter I received anymore and I cannot confidently say I am National Merit Commended unless I confirm it with some document (to do so would be dishonest). Would calling National Merit's Administration help in what I need to find out? What should I do?

actually thats a good question i was kinda wondering the same thing, minus the whole living overseas thing. i got something from them, but i dont know if i was commended or eligible or what. any suggestions from anyone? should we try collegeboard.com? does the college board even administer the National Merit Scholarship program?

If you were not a semi-finalist, and you got something from the National Merit Administration, then you were probably commended.
