Am I off to a good start?

<p>I am a 10th grader at a very prestigious very difficult all boys school in the northeast, and I'm just wondering if you guys can give your opinion on if im on the right track?Maybe even some preliminary ideas for how things will turn out for me with colleges and such or suggestions</p>

<p>This year with the midyear grade having passed I received
Analysis- C+

World Civilizations- B-
This comes out to a 2.62 GPA</p>

PSAT: 66 in CR (98th percentile among 10th graders)
64 in Math (95 percentile)
56 in Writing Skills (91st percentile)
I took the Latin SAT II last June and received a 670</p>

Last summer I attended NIAHD a history program for high schools at William and Mary</p>

<p>2.62 won’t get you very far, to be quite honest. Bring up your grades while you still can!</p>

<p>its only a 2.62 for the first half of this yearlast years gpa ended up being about a 2.9</p>

<p>Still, try to get it to at least past 3. Colleges will look at it differently because you go to a prestigious school, but even that won’t make a 2.9 that impressive.</p>

<p>Good start with ECs, but that GPA won’t get you into prestigious schools (if that’s where you’re hopefully headed). You should try to bring up your grades while you’re still a sophomore for at least a low 3.2 etc. Then follow up with stellar junior/senior grades. But if you up the grades, the rest of your profile looks like a great start. Good Luck! =]</p>
