Am I on the Right Path?

Hi! I’m a sophomore in high school currently, and I wanted to know if I’m on the right track in terms of activities and grades, and other stuff for college. For extracurriculars, I tend to focus more on what I like, such as STEM, but I’m not really sure what I want to be as of now. So, I tend to try and do different things I like.

Extracurriculars:

  • FTC Robotics Team (I did this last year too)
  • Math Club (I participate in some competitions; hoping to do AMC this year.)
  • Participating in Science Fair every year.
  • JROTC (Not sure if I want to continue this since it’s a big time commitment. Advice?)
  • Volunteer as a tutor for children.
  • Joining my first sport in the spring - Tennis!

For my activities, I wanted to know if I could somehow research? I’m not familiar with cold-emailing professors, or even where to begin with, so advice with that would help a lot!

As for classes, I’m taking two AP’s this year, World History and Chemistry. (Any links/advice, esp. for chemistry would be great!!!) My weighted GPA is a 98.4.

So, that’s basically what I’m doing at this point! I wanted to see if I’m on the right path, and I’d appreciate any feedback! Thanks!!!

You seem to be doing fine. Do things you enjoy, take challenging classes, do well in them. Do study for the PSAT/SAT/ACT when the time comes.
