<p>The 50% range is the 50% of students who fall between the 25th percentile and the 75th percentile. In order to consider a school a safety, your standardised test scores should be comfortably above that range. Yours, even with a 2000-range SAT, are not at this point for BU. Thus, it is not a safety. Not to say you won’t get in, but it’s not a safety.</p>
<p>Moreover, you have failed to consider that even if you, by some extraordinary means, pull off a 2200s score, you could still be rejected from most every school on your list. I have seen it happen to far stronger applicants.</p>
