Yes, if you keep a similar GPA through the time of college applications and get a 26-28 on the ACT, you should have no problem getting into MSU.

Yeah, you should be fine. I got in last year with a ~3.6 and a 27 with 1 ap. I know a lot of kids that got in with ~3.4’s and ~25’s and no ap’s.

Yup. Just make sure you keep up the GPA and score in that range on the ACT :)

Yep! I had a 3.6 and 29 ACT with 4 APs (at the time of applying). You’d be more than set.

Good luck!

You would definitely get in!!! But don’t base your “possible” score on those practice test. I remember averaging about a 27-28 and finished with a 24. I didn’t retake it. When I applied for MSU I had a 3.45 and a 24 on my ACT, got in and graduated HS with a 3.60.

And FYI apply BEFORE October 1st. Seriously, if I could go back to tell HS students stuff I would say that the most important thing to do at the start of your Sr. year is get all your application stuff in order within the first 2 weeks of your fall HS semester. Some schools have counselors that are specialized in only helping out students with applications. I don’t know if college applications require letter of recommendations. But if they do try to get that stuff in order before the end of the Summer.
I remember our counselors told us that if we applied before October 7th to MSU it would be considered “early admission” and we should hear back within 21 days. I turned mine in on October 5th. Found out that on October 8th, my application and everyone else’s application was still in her office. She got sick and forgot to tell someone to send out those applications. So about 20 students applying to MSU didn’t get their acceptance for over two months b/c the counselor didn’t do the ONLY job she had at the school.
Took from October 8th till Christmas Eve (from when it was first mailed to MSU’s campus to when I received my acceptance letter from the best college in the world!!!)

SO my advice, don’t take this lightly b/c I remember I heard back 30 days from GVSU and even that felt like the longest 30 days of my life and from the day I got that acceptance letter from GVSU until Christmas Eve I kept telling myself I was going to attend GVSU just b/c I didn’t want to be let down had I gotten declined from MSU. Took about 10 weeks from when I applied till when I got accepted into MSU b/c I waited till the first week of October.

Yes, I think you’ll be good! I got in 2 years ago with a 3.4 GPA and a 29 ACT.
