I was almost tricked into chancing you for NYU Courant (i.e. mathematics) given your username… would you attend Courant if you couldn’t get into Stern?

If you take the ACTs again, get at least a 32+. If you take the SATs, make sure to get a 2200+. Since you’re a sophomore, you have some time to make these changes (if you study hard, I’m sure you can get these scores).

GPA wise, you are right around the Stern average. Continue taking rigorous course, and try to do lots of business-y stuff, I’ve heard that the school likes that.

Most of all, NYU is one of those schools where EVERYONE is different, so make sure you follow that rule: be unique!

you look like you are on track for NYU! Like the others have said you really wanna be in all those business related activities. Another thing, try to definitely get some leadership going. If possible try to be on some sort of board for either FBLA or DECA. Not to bring myself into this, but currently I am the board for DECA at my school, and it has definitely prepared me to really take charge of things and be responsible, ya know what I mean? Colleges love that. Plus since it’s business it’s a plus haha (I also want to go into business, maybe not at Stern however lol). Good luck!

NYU Courant is, in fact, not directly applied to, but you’re still a Courant student if you declare a math major/minor in any shape or form. Even LSP students can still end up attending Courant… if they end up declaring a math minor/major.

The mathematics department at NYU is just a part of Courant. (Computer Science is also part of Courant, too)
