Am I on the right track for UVA admission?

Hello all, I'm currently a sophomore in HS and I'm wondering if I'm doing everything right to get into UVA.

Freshman Year:
3.7 weighted, horrible ranking of like 40/450
Took 1 ap class, finishing with a B, and a 4 on the exam. Took all honor core classes, also.
Overall, pretty bad year for me :(.

This year I'm taking 1 AP class, with all honor core classes. I plan on getting most, if not all A's in my classes this year.

Other interesting stuff:
Sophomore Class Vice-President, plan on being President Junior and Senior years.
Future Business Leaders of America(FBLA): Attended state and nat'l conferences last year, along with the Institute for Leaders at the nat'l conference. As of now, I'm Vice-President of that club, and most likely be president junior and senior years. Will attend future state and national conferences, also.
I'll also be in my HS lacrosse club for 3 years.

Oh, and I'm a white male, in state, no relatives attended UVA.

So thats about it. In your opinion(s), am i on the right track? I realize how bad I did freshman year for someone with hopes of UVA, but I'm sure I'll be able to raise my gpa. Any tips as to what I need to do to raise my chances?

*My apologies for the poor layout of this post, but I was in a hurry lol

What part of Virginia do you live in?
If you live in NOVA, Charlottesville, or Richmond/Norfolk area, it is significantly more difficult to get into UVA due to the admission caps set on these geographic locations.

I live in the Hampton Roads area, so like SE Va.

Bumb for knowledge

*bump whoops aha

**The statement below is totally false. **
