Am i on the right track to get into MIT?

So I'm only a sophmore but i really want to get into MIT. I'm currently taking 3 AP classes and getting A's in all of them. I'm 2 years ahead in math, which is what i want to go into. I am number 1 in my class of about 300. I am also on my high schools Varsity Pom Pon team. I am in Spanish 3 and will continue taking it the next two years. So far I have about 150 volunteer hours but will have over 400 by the end of high school. My weighted GPA as of now is 4.15. Unweighted it is a 4.0. Is there a chance that i could get in to MIT if i keep this up?

You definitely sound like you are on track. Make sure you stay involved, attain some leadership roles, and participate in some science-related extra-curriculars. Perhaps look into doing some research at a local university, become a math tutor, etc, to show that you mean business. But simultaneously make sure that you remain well-rounded. It is good you are playing a sport, but is there anything else you enjoy? MIT’s application asks, “What is something you do for the fun of it?” Think about how you will answer that question, and support your answer.

Best of luck. :)
