Am I on the right track?

<p>I'm only a sophomore, but I'd really like to know if I'm on the right track for getting accepted to an Ivy League school.</p>

<p>I just want to get a feel of how I'm doing, and if it's strong enough. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated!</p>

<p>ECs (weak spot):
-Member of Human Rights Watch: Student Task Force branch at my school. Hopefully will earn a leadership position next year and senior year.
-Shelter Helpers Club; we volunteer at animal shelters and raise awareness for animal-related issues
-Wonder-Woman; raising awareness for women's rights issues
-I introduced the international Education Under Fire campaign to my school, and organized a couple of screenings of the documentary about the campaign, and set up a time for students to sign an online petition.
-Peer-tutor at my school since beginning of sophomore year
-Next year, I'm planning on joining the Red Cross club.
-During this summer, I'm planning on volunteering at a hospital.</p>

<p>I would really appreciate any input!</p>

<p>Just enjoy the process and learn as much as you can.</p>

<p>^^ I agree. Have you read this article: [Applying</a> Sideways | MIT Admissions](<a href=“http://mitadmissions.org/blogs/entry/applying_sideways]Applying”>Applying Sideways | MIT Admissions)</p>

<p>That said, you need to think more about the schools you are interested in. The Ivy League is an athletic conference that 8 schools compete in, but each school is different. For example, if you like Brown, which doesn’t have any general education requirements, you probably will not like Harvard that does. You need to take the time to investigate each school and see which one would be a good fit, and not just blindly apply to them all.</p>
