Hi all,

So I'm a freshman in highschool involved in a lot of ECs - Marching Band, Indoor Percussion Ensemble, Drama Club, Key Club, the Musical, and I volunteer over the summers at a local science museum. I get straight As - and am often accused of being a perfectionist haha (I'm disappointed with a 94 in AP World this quarter and appalled with my 93 in Geometry Honors, for example.) The thing is, I'm not athletic, whatsoever. The one time I tried out for a sport in Junior High I got cut, and I don't like athletics much to begin with, nor do I have much time for them.
What I'd like to know is, is that going to hurt me in the long run?
At the current moment I think I want to go to University of Chicago or University of Michigan, among some others, but I don't know if my lack of variety in ECs - since almost all are music related, and my lack of athletic participation will hurt me in the admissions process? I'm proud of my EC involvement and my grades, but will lack of athletics hurt me in the application process, or do you (as a general community haha.) think I'll be okay? Is it "absolutely" necessary to be involved in sports in high school in the admissions process?
Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this, I really appreciate it. :)
