Am I on track? (10th grade)

Hiya College Confidential,
Next month, I’ll be entering sophomore year. My overall average for this past year was 80%. I will be taking all regular classes this year, but will I be ok?

My schedule is:

  1. Study Hall (Dy. 1) / Geometry Skills (Dy. 2)
  2. Spanish 2
  3. Living Environment
  4. Lab Period (1) / Lunch (2)
  5. Geometry
  6. Global History 10A
  7. English 10A
  8. Computer Applications (Dy.1) / P.E (Dy. 2)

If I get good enough grades this year, will I be fine? I’m not sure what higher level classes I’ll take in the future, and I don’t be screwed.

I think that you are doing fine. Of course, this depends a bit on what you want to do with your life.

Try to keep ahead in your classes. Pay attention in class. Do your homework early – this makes it easier to get a bit more out of the next class, and if you have any issues in trying to do the homework you are likely to figure it out in your next class. Seek out help early if you need it.

In a year or so you will want to start thinking about what you want to do after graduating high school. There are a lot of different options.
