Am I on Track for Rutgers?

Hey! I'm currently a junior going to a highschool in NJ. I have an unweighted GPA of 3.45 and a weighted GPA of 3.64. I know that's kinda low, but my grades have picked up majorly this year, so its subject to major change. I havent taken the SATs/ACTs yet, and am waiting on my PSAT results.
I've taken 2 years of honors history, am taking AP history this year, and will take 3 AP history courses next year (6 years total). I would really like to major in some form of history, and was looking at Rutgers because its cheap and in NJ. Im also legacy there (My grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and most importantly, parents all went to Rutgers). As far as ECs go, im the president of one club (hopefully two, after i start another one) and VP of another, which I also happened to start.

So, am I on track for going to Rutgers? Are there any other schools I should look at? Could I possibly get $ from Rutgers?

You’ll get in but won’t get money.

NewYork, I’m not sure whether that can be judged just yet. Boston seems to have solid high school academics, yet we still don’t know the SAT/ACT scores. This would also be a factor in whether or not Boston would receive money. Plus, a first semester junior still has a decent amount of time during which GPA can be raised.

Exactly. I plan on having at least a 3.7 (weighted) + by the end of this year.

for the past couple years, full ride requirements were a ~3.9 weighted gpa on a 4.0 scale and a 1500 sat (m+cr). meeting just one of these still meant half scholarship.

with that said, what NewYork said wasn’t completely wrong. you will most certainly get into rutgers, but in terms of financial aid, don’t get your hopes up.

If you keep working at your GPA, you’ll most likely get in.

Yeah, like other posters, you probably won’t get any money, unless you show financial need.
