Thank you for your time.

Work on that GPA.

You’ve already posted this question and those stats a few times on another board that specializes in service acadamies and ROTC, and you keep getting the same advice about GPA. Is it sinking in?

To be honest with you, extra-curricular activities do not matter if your GPA is bad. Colleges only look at them if your GPA is borderline. What is your class rank? I have talked to the admissions people at TAMU, and they do NOT look at your letter grades. They only consider your GPA and your class rank. If your school does class rank, they will look at that. Your GPA might not be strong, but they will look at how you compare to the rest of the kids in your class. So, in short, they do not care about course rigor at all either. They figure that your rigor will be reflected in the GPA weight and thus affecting your class rank.

So, if your GPA is poor and your class rank is also low, that would be my primary concern, not how many clubs you can do or how many service hours you have. If you’re in the top 25% of your class, and you score a 30 or better on your ACT, you’re an auto-admit. If you don’t, you’re a review admit, which is incredibly competitive.

Good luck.

You need to get your GPA up plain and simple! Many with higher GPA’s are getting Blinn, or wait listed

like everyone else has said… You’re GPA needs to get much higher.
