Am I Out of My Ivy-League?

Here are my stats. I'm afraid the SAT type stuff isn't good enough. Obviously there isn't much time to make them up, but there is enough if necessary. Other than that, I think my resume is pretty strong (several internships, leadership positions, etc).

Please chance for ivies and other top-rated schools.

Colleges of Interest:
Brown University, Georgetown University, Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Princeton University, Swarthmore College, University of Maryland, Baltimore County (also applying to Meyerhoff Scholarship), University of Maryland, College Park, University of Pennsylvania, Wellesley College, Yale University

You might be able to grab, Brown, Columbia, Cornell.

Sup, girl?! You have nothing to worry about numbers-wise. Your SAT is certainly above the “in-the-door” threshold, and if you’re worried about the subject tests, don’t be! Mine weren’t nearly as good as yours – in fact, they were pretty bad – and I don’t think that hurt me too much.

You’re in at UMBC (although I know nothing about that scholarship) and UMCP (you’ll get half or full Banneker Key), of course. And you can count JHU as “in”, too, because they love our school and because your science stuff is awesome. I’d be incredibly surprised if you didn’t get into Georgetown or Wellesley (assuming your essays are good, which I’m guessing will be the case).

The rest, of course, are impossible to predict, but you’ve got as good a chance as anyone. You’ve got intense science stuff, the “leadership” thing that schools love, and a nice variety of things on your resume. (Hindu Sunday School? Neighbor Ride? Very interesting and non-typical activities!) I’d guess that out of Brown, Harvard, MIT, Princeton, Swarthmore, Penn, and Yale, you’ll get into at least three of the seven.

you should have decent shots at all your schools

What is your exact class rank? An exact rank gives a greater perspective than just top 5%. Also quite of few of your science awards are not genuinely impressive, I do not say that to denigrate your achievements, but only to put it in perspective as to how admission officers will view them.

Also for the special awards you listed do not put: howard county award in front, or regional award. But rather just list them independently as it appears as if they are distinct competitions which is vastly more impressive.

Hiii. You’re amazing! I just somehow found this and I’m really bored at NIH. Hope your having a good breakk (actually, you’re probably at the lab).

(if anyone’s wondering, she got in to JHU BME, full ride at UMCP and UMBC. I’m not positive about the rest, but she’s going to JHU! [most likely])

why does JHU love our school so much!?
