Am I overreacting?

I'm normally a 3.9 GPA(weighted) person. Getting A's and B's (especially in those AP's).
What if I get a C in an AP class senior year, will they rescind my acceptance?

Oh yeah, I'm aiming for the top UC's.

They most likely won’t rescind your acceptance (even if you got a D they probably won’t), and yes, you are overreacting. After I got into Swarthmore, I was very slightly worried because I was getting a B in an art class, and eventually I realized that, OK, nobody cares what I’m getting in art, and so I got my B and nothing happened. But yeah, I think you’re way overreacting.

Yes, you’re overreacting. You won’t be rescinded for one C. In the grand scheme of your high school career, a single C says nothing about you, and once a college has accepted you, that means they are impressed with your high school career as a whole. Of course, if you average a C in your final semester or something, then yeah, you could be rescinded. But as long as you’re working hard, you’ll be fine. Don’t worry about it.

I don’t think you’re overreacting. I’ve never gotten a C in my high school career and I may get one in AP chem. :(

I may get a C in College Algebra 3…although I will explain the unique situation.

strangely enough, that’s also the class where I might get a C in :(

yes…

don’t sweat it, it is first of all an AP course, and as long as your not failing or get a bunch of C’s and D’s colleges have better things to do then investigate a single C in a college prep course

take a deep breath :)

No need to worry about ONE C, it’s really not going to affect your transcript at all. Take a deep breath and enjoy the rest of your senior year.

One C won’t be a problem, but a D will. I asked my counselor the same question - she told me a D would mean UCLA, UC Berkeley, and UCSD won’t even consider my application. :[ I wonder if she’s right about SD - but I read on that college stuff Berkeley sent out that they definitely won’t consider you. D: Scary! But I’m sure you’ll be fine :]

UCs don’t see your grades until after you graduate. Just don’t get a D because in most cases, your acceptance will be rescinded. I only know of one person who managed to let her D slide TWICE because she wrote a convincing letter to the office of admissions. However, I also know a lot of people whose acceptances were rescinded for the same reason. A C is fine. You just need to maintain a 3.0 UW for the top UCs but 3.0 W for others.

No. It’s fine. I have people stressing about potential D’s in my school…
