Am I "preppy?"

preppy kids usually listen to the same music: O.A.R., Guster, DMB, Dispatch, String Cheese Incident, Virginia Coalition, Phish, country music, southern rock, new rap, and any jam band or reggae band.

and as true preps claim, preppy is a "lifestyle'. (sailing, playing tennis, golf, vacationing in the vineyard, nantucket, aspen, etc, belonging to a country club, WASPy, old money) some snap, "just because you wear ralph lauren doesnt mean you are really preppy"

I play tennis. I go on vacation, but not in the vineyard. In the Laurentians, though! haha. My dad belongs to a country club. WASPy... hmm.. I don't know. My dad's whole side of the family is Greek. My mom's is English, French, and Dutch. So yeah...

This is like the first time eating Raisin Bran for me. I like the bran, but not the raisins. It makes it taste weird.

:)

NO!!!! like 50 of my posts were deleted on GreenDayFan and i cant post! now i feel smart for having another username.

Why were you banned from posting?

That sucks, man.

I think they should ban by IP's. I mean, people can just make another username. Like GDF. haha.

The thing wiht me is I dont want to wear J-Crew...why do i want to be a "real" prep when i can wear what looks good and what the girls (at my school) like for a lot cheaper.

Yeah. I get where you're coming from.

Only a few people at my school know the difference between a real prep and a prep wanna be. All of the cheerleaders are definitely wanna be's. They call themselves preps and wear some cheap o thing from like.. Aeropostale. It's so annoying.

in my opinion, if you have to ask, then you're probably not preppy.
besides, just because you wear j crew and ralph lauren doesnt make you preppy. northface bookbag....that's a new one. not quite preppy, though.

Yes it does.

though abercrombie is not preppy, dont think its like...low-class, though. though preppy usually = rich, rich does not necessarily = preppy. my town is..what do you call it...nouveau riche. they favor trendy brands like abercrombie, lacoste, (today, some of the preppy brands are quite the fashion). i agree with IluvA's, there are a lot of specific items that a prep needs to own to be a prep. in addition to being old rich, beach houses, and spending your summers in exclusive prep places with other preps.

i still disagree with the preppy music. i know some true preps, and they like their own music, (pop, modern hits, etc)

I guess I'm sort of a prep, although I don't "summer on the vineyard." I go to the Laurentians, which is like... really nice. We stay on a resort up there.

I don't think all preps like the same music, but all the people that told me their is preppy music, they listed the same bands. (Jack Johnson, Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews, etc.)

I love Walk Alone by Jack Johnson. <--- best song EVERRRR.

wow...

What's wow?

"wow..." refers to:

I like..Buried a Lie by Senses Fail
haha

Why, you don't like that song, Spanks?

No, the song is decent. It's just not the "best song EVERRRR."

Even though i like emo, i kind of like The Fray. Apparently they're pop. O well.

Oh..well it is the best song ever. lol.

Well one of the best. lol

I like The Fray, too. Over My Head.
