Am I "preppy?"

I'll live.

Who knew this would turn out as another bash JonK thread?

What about the tenchar rule!!!!!! i dont see ten characters in ur post Jon K how did you do that!

I agree with Oistrakh, A's are relatively easy in middle school, but in high school in honors/APs they are significantly tougher

SinsNotTragedies-I think they counted the space as a char.

YOU'RE INSECURE, JONK!!!!! and you have no life.

So what if I'm in middle school. If I were in high school, I rather have a life and get a 3.9 than study 24/7 for four years and get a 4.0.

[/quote]

No longer are you part of the majority. :( Most of CC retains there 4.0 without studying... Oh well. (Nice refute to an argument that never occured.)

you're not preppy, goth, punk, ghetto, you're YOU

Aww... how nice, ChemNerd. :)

SinsNotTragedies, haha I know. That was weird. Did they get rid of the ten character rule?

Jonathan K., you aren't preppy.

anyone who starts a tread like this one and the one about your dad.. cannot possibly be part of the preppy population. (if you were, you would put us all to shame.)

are you people proud of being preppy?

*thread (10 char)

Us? Haha. Yeah right. You aren't a prep.

Preppy or not, you are undoubtedly a huge tool, Johnathan K.

e e

fixed. ff f

I can honestly say, that if you think your "preppy" your probably not. It's more like a......lifestyle rather than just clothes. Oh and Johnathon K., just by what you said in this thread, I would say that your definitely not preppy, but you will probably find your niche elsewhere, just not with the real preps. By the way, to everyone on CC I want to make a thread called "Fake Preps and they don't even know it!" - It will be about the AE, abercrombie and hollister crowd, hey johnathon K. maybe you can join the thread?

Anywayzzzz, if you really want to dress "preppy" even though it is a lifestyle, that people just don't seem to realize. you can't go wrong with, well at least at our age(high school/college): J Crew, J Press, LL Bean, Lacoste, RL Polo, Vineyard Vines/Martha's Vineyard, Lilly Pulitzer, and Lands End. Also, preppy people, at least the real preps that I know casually dress in Nautica, Emporio Armani/AX, North Face products, and Banana Republic. The 2nd group that I listed is more yuppie and trendy, whereas teh 1st group is m,uch more old-school prep, you can't go wron with any of those brands. Also, you might want to pick up Sailing, Fencing, Lacrosse, Field Hockey and Golf. Another thing to add is that "Preps" generally go to prep school's or just prestigious school's in general. Preps are mostly in the Northeast even though there are few exceptions in the South and West and you want to attend college in the northeast. Also, contrary to popular belief, real preps don't have to be RICH, I know a lot of lower middle class and average kids who are prep because they are good at managing their money. Also, most preps have a successful and go-getting-things-done type attitude and will do a lot to live up to their parents expectations. Finally, preps don't have to be complete wasp's, my parents are very very prep, and we came to America in 1997......Now time for me to go and start that thread.

how do you get over the ten character rule???

I don't wear any of those brands.

I wear namely J. Crew, Ralph Lauren, and Lacoste. I guess I'm moderately wealthy...well my parents are. I go on vacations. That's cool. I'm applying to prep schools.

And yes, you do have to be wealthy to be a prep. Like you said, it's a lifestyle, not just your wardrobe.

Seems to me like you're the wanna be prep.
