Am I qualified for UMich?

I’m an international student from Asia, I’d love to hear soem opinions about my profile to see if i have the chance to get into UMich (it’s my dream school!)

GPA: 9.0/10
SAT: 1480
SAT II: Math 2: 800

Academic Awards:
Third place in city’s english contest
Silver medal in nation’s eloquence contest
Gold medal in nation’s english contest online

ECs:
2 volunteering program (1 for 2 years and 1 for 6 months, as a volunteer + charity trips organizer)
President of my highschool’s english club (1 year)
Organizer of a school event for alumni + concert (6 months)
Volunteer of my highschool senior program in junior year, and become president of the program in senior year

I have not started writing my essay yet but it will be closely related to my Asian roots. Can anyone please tell me my chances? Thank you so much!

You have great stats! However, your ECs are a little light but it’s good that you have some leadership positions! Since Michigan is so hard to get into in the first place and you’re also an international student, it’s really not easy to say whether or not you’ll get in based solely off of your stats and ECs. Just make sure you write the best essays you’ve ever written and send in the best application you can! Good luck!! :slight_smile:

You are definitely qualified. Getting in is not easy, but you are qualified. Apply EA. Make sure you submit all admissions materials before November 1. Your SAT/SAT 2 scores must be sent no later than October 20 to make sure they get to Michigan on time.
