I applied ED to Princeton, and everything on my application except one thing: my SAT scores. I got 1180/1850 on new test: 670 W, 650 M, and 530 CR. Am I really screwed, although I have a few hooks (I am black and deaf)?

please answer honestly. I can take the brutal truth-besides, I know I am screwed. I just want to hear what others think.

I think it is a long shot. I'm not going to tell you that its impossible, although I would if you weren't deaf. However, given your disability, that might compensate for a low verbal score if everything else looks good. Is there any chance you could retake? Do you have any EC hooks?

I might retake it this December (I will be retaking SAT IIs to go into 700s from mid 650s). Let's say I am happy with my EC because they show how passionate and how actively involved I am in math.

if you are passionate about math, you should definately raise that SAT math score!

USE that optional "what else would you like us to know" form...it's your best chance at explaining

i would apply... if you don't, you will always think it's because of your deafness.

anyway... good luck.

no offence, but will HYPS suddenly start taking ppl with 1800 SAT scores because they are black and quadraplegic?

disability is not a hook, unless you really did something amazing with it.
