Am I required to submit SAT subject tests applying for a CS major?

Couldn’t find it on their website.

bump? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

It’s HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend. They would like you to, but it’s not required

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using CC

Could you link me to where it says that? And if I send it to say another state u, is it shared with Cal Poly and other CSUs?

Suggest you contact Cal Poly, both the admissions office and the computer science department, to answer all your questions, as I’m not sure that the SAT II’s are required, recommended, or would help any applicant with admissions to Cal Poly.

Here’s a link to the page on the Admissions web site titled “Testing Information (ACT/SAT)” that might help:

[Freshman Testing Information- Admissions - Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo](<a href=“Cal Poly Admissions”>Cal Poly Admissions)

There’s some info on SAT-II test scores.

In any case, you can’t go wrong following eduparent’s advice.

Interesting. My kid never submitted the SAT 2 subject tests. To be honest, when he filled out his online application in 2010, there was no place to add them. He got in just fine with only his ACT.

I don’t seem to remember any specific use for any SAT II scores for CSC (Or any other major) at Cal Poly. Of course, it’s been a long time since I’ve had to worry about admissions.

I called them. They don’t use SAT II’s for admission purposes.
