It was just about history and the 7 perspectives....

Is there a policy that says if you fail the course, you can't take the exam??? Do schools do that? There is a rumor in my school that says if you don't get 80% in an AP Class, they won't let you take the exam.

No, I don’t believe that there’s such a policy unless your school pays for your exam [there mite be some limitations since the money is coming out of their pockets]

I suggest making flashcards for the next quizzes/tests. They can help a lot, especially in a class like AP Psych.

the first test is usually always a bad one. i scored lower than usual on my first calculus test. you just have to work at it and you’ll score better and probably end out doing fine.

This is one of the reasons why I tell people to just forget about taking the actual class. Its easier to just self-study it. Most of the time the teacher makes you do pointless projects, pointless reading (that you don’t need to do) or taking tests that aren’t specifically designed to cover material that is tested on the exam.

Let me tell you this. AP Psych is EASY, actually very easy IF you prepare for it appropriately. You will only get overwhelmed if you spend your time learning material you never need to learn in the first place. Here is the topics covered on the exam:

History and Approaches (2-4%)
States of Consciousness (2-4%)
Learning (7-9%)
Cognition (8-10%)
Motivation and Emotion (7-9%)
Developmental Psychology (7-9%)
Personality (6-8%)
Testing and Individual Differences (5-7%)
Abnormal Psychology (7-9%)
Treatment of Psychological Disorders (5-7%)
Social Psychology (7-9%)

Make sure you cover those topics and only those topics. The ap psych exam consists of multiple choice and essays. Thats it.

I can’t self-study. My school has a policy that you can’t self-study and ask the school to order the exam for you even if you pay for it. They say you must take the course ans get around 80% or higher to be eligible to take exam.

Quick question, do you have to take an AP test through your school or are there other places? I was thinking about self-studying, but my school doesn’t offer the AP’s

"Has to be in my school. That’s what the AP coordinator said. "

SHE IS…IS…ARGGH!!!

listen, what she is doing is she has that policy for a reason. It is for

A) she doesn’t feel like doing it
B) she wants the potential AP students to take your school’s APs so they can stay alive; she doesn’t want to lose anybody

Now, what you can do is take and register for the exam AT ANOTHER SCHOOL.
