Am I royally screwed?

So my final grades for the year (Sophomore) came in, and I got all A's and A+'s, and one C (in Algebra II, my weakest subject) - my GPA is currently sitting at around a 3.6, and my class ranking is 15 out of 500. This is the first (and hopefully last) C I have ever gotten in my life.

I was hoping to apply to BU, BC, UMass Amherst, and schools of that caliber. If I continue taking rigorous courses, including AP Calc my Senior Year and four AP's for my Junior Year, will I still have a chance at these schools?

if you have the sat scores and ecs I dont think your grades will hold you back…your class rank is great

Don’t stress out too much about it. Your class rank is fine :)

Oooo~ I haven’t gotten my Sophomore grades yet, but I barley got a B in Algebra II, I’ll agree, Algebra II wasn’t my best subject either. I know how it feels to get your first C. It feels like the end of the world, and you feel like you’re nothing at times. Like stated above, make sure you go well on the SAT and do well on your other classes, but other than that, your’re fine.

Funny Algebra 2 was my best subject (love math). But my GPA is only 3.5 because I screwed up Freshman year and only got one A.
