Am I screwed for life now?

In Middle School I could get good grades easily without effort. Now I am a freshman in high school and the first semester is almost over. Looking at my grade report I realize that i did terrible. My grades were like really bad. I took 6 out of 8 AP or Pre-AP classes, thinking that they would be a lot easier. I have gotten mostly mid and low A's, with a couple high A's and high and mid B's. Honestly i think that i could have done a lot better if I had actually applied myself, but i was really lazy. My SAT is a 2150, and I haven't taken he ACT yet. I found that my weighed GPA is around 5.0 out of a 5.0 scale. But my unweighed GPA is around a 4.0 out of 5.0, which is a 3.2 out of 4.0. What I was wondering is if this is considered good or bad. Also, would colleges be mad for this even though I took mostly advanced classes. What would my chances be for some different colleges? Sorry for the long post but this was a burning question that I just had to ask.

Are you screwed for life? No. Are you screwed for anything? No. You are a freshman. Remember that freshmen don’t know anything.

Ok, in all honesty, try very hard this second semester to bring your gpa up. Freshman year is your foundation. School only gets harder from this point on. Get as high grades as possible because you’ll regret it come junior year…it seems like you are probably going to be looking at top 30 achools

Unweighted would be out of 4.0 wouldn’t it? Also your grades are not terrible. Keep working hard, and make sure to find extracurriculars that you’re passionate about. It’s a bit early to say you’re screwed for life

Yes, you are destined for a life of ditch digging misery.
