Am I screwed for post-bac?

Ok heres my situation,

I recently graduated from a UC with an econ degree, I have about 11k in federal subsidized loans and 9k in Parent plus loans. 3.51 cum gpa and 3.66 upper div., graduated with cum laude (top 10%?) and dean's list.

The thing is I want to go for a post-bac program and try to get into medical school. What should I do about my money situation? Will the federal give me anymore money? Should I defer parent plus loans? etc?

Thanks, this is stressing me out big time.

I know people who did this. I hear that sometimes you can get aid by applying as a second bachelors student but you're really in a post-bac program. Other schools have "masters" post-bac programs that permit federal aid. I personally don't know the answer but can tell you where you might find it. Try studentdoctor forums. Your situation isn't that rare at all.

You can still get a Stafford loan for graduate or professional school as high as $20,500 ($8,500 subsidized/$12,000 unsubsidized). Then past that I guess there's fellowships and stipends.
