I just finished my freshman year and submitted my BBA application
but i just have a hunch that im completely screwed?

in first semester
I had a 2.6 gpa- i screwed around..which i regret

with Econ 395, Calc II, Orgo I, Geo Sci
EC= Fraternity, Intramural

But second semester I did drastically better like
3.7 GPA

with Econ 310, Econ 380, Stats 250, Eng 125, SI 110. I had two A+ (one in econ), and one A (stats)this term, nothign lower than a B
EC= habitat for humanity (voted position), MSA, Fraternity

My cumulative is 3.22...
Did I just completely ruin my chance of admission at Ross? it was hard for me as an international student to acclimatize to college life when I first came..but I doubt the admissions will take that into account

I doubt anyone on college confidential will be able to answer this question. You do not fit the mold of a typical candidate.

You are definitely an outlier. I wouldn’t get my hopes up if I were you.

you didn’t take econ 101 which is a requirement. transfer credit (like econ 101x departmental) does not fulfill those requirements. unless you somehow got credit for econ 101 you won’t get accepted. (i don’t know how you can test out of econ 101, i took AP micro and only got departmental credit), so i think everyone has to take it.

i think that they do take into account time for adjustment but i dont know how much slack they give you for that.

“Economics 101
Includes IB, A-level, or transfer credit for the exact U-M course equivalent (not departmental credit, e.g., Econ 101X)”

go do some amazing ec/internship that’s going to blow their minds! don’t rely on chance alone if you’re unsure of your admission.

I wouldn’t completely rule yourself out. They want to see improvement, which you have definitly showed. Admissions knows that first years struggle with their adjustment to college and take that into account. Like I said, its important to see improvement and you’ve demonstrated this. I think it will really come down to your essay and if you’ve provided admissions with great reasons for why you want to be in the bschool.

yeah i didn’t have to take econ 101 and econ 102 cuz i came in with those credits from IB…came with like 24 transfer credits

I don’t have a significant work experience though…thats the main problem sigh
