Am I screwed if....

My teacher forgot to put the date when she signed my forms?

She signed in blue ink instead of black ink?

My word count in the essays is like... 10 words over?

yeah automatic rejection
just kidding... if princeton has a problem with the first 2 i'd assume they would contact you about it when they look to see if all your forms are in. not sure though. but 10 words over is definitely not a problem.

i think blue ink is fine. actually my counselor advised me to ask the teachers sign in blue ink, for it shows that the signature is not photocopied...lol

lol. RBTrix, you gotta calm down.

do you really think any of those things are monumental? P'ton is not trying to "trap" kids and screw them all up. P'ton just wants to see who you, as a person, are and if you'd be a good addition to its community.

yeah and i mean the admissions officers are just people. i think they can deal with blue ink. and since you mentioned essay length, how many words over 500 would still be tolerable, do you think? does anyone have a 600+ word essay? or even 550?

"nk blue ink is fine. actually my counselor advised me to ask the teachers sign in blue ink, for it shows that the signature is not photocopied...lol"
--What if you have a color copyer?

Am I screwed if I forgot my OWN signature somewhere in the School Report form?

lol, sorry mate. but i think that might be a problem.

RBTrix, I would definitely contact Admissions.

With regard to essay length...my suggestion is to get as close as possible to the limit. I'd say it's probably a little better to go over than under, but try to get within 20-50 words either way. They know what a 500 word essay looks like, and they're going to be able to tell if you went over (after all, they read about 2500 for ED alone).

What if the TEACHER forgets to sign it... or if she did sign it, she forgot to put the date on it...

The teacher i asked is pretty absent minded...

omg, breathe ... your teacher's mistake won't keep you out.

Ever get the feeling that you sent it out, and the you KEEP thinking about it, and then all paranoia hits? I'm going through that stage right about now...

if you've submitted everything already, stop thinking about your application and get on with your rd apps.

Yeah seriously, a single oversight on one of the blanks will not be enough to reject you. Admission officers are human and they will understand as long as the mistakes aren't blatant (and your's definately aren't).

lol, coz i don't, and i printed out the forms in black ink;)

rbtrix was kidding. from the beginning. what is it about this site that absolutely no one can distinguish sarcasm, no matter how blatant?

I usually can, but for some reason this didn't sound sarcastic to me...

"
She signed in blue ink instead of black ink?

My word count in the essays is like... 10 words over?"

I hope for his sake that thats sarcasm

actually the blue ink vs black ink is really a case that some GC's emphasize.

some actually do tell students to get blue ink signatures.

weird, esp becuz if it was a big deal, the P'ton app woulda mentioned it.
