Am I screwed? Please say no...

Okay, well I spoke to my guidance counselor today. She was happy to tell me that Boston College requested my first quarter grades which meant that I was at least being considered. However, when I asked her about Cornell, she said they haven't asked. She told me that could either mean I got accepted without a doubt, or rejected without a doubt. Is this true? Because if it is, I know I got rejected because my GPA blows (3.628=3.63). Please tell me what you guys think!!!

um don't worry about this at all

Don't worry. But would it make you feel better if I said, "No"?

overthinking this, just relax, they don't ask for first quarter grades most of the time, they just ask for first semester grades later

Did you apply to College of Engineering?

yes I did. And did you apply ED?

I didnt apply to the college of engineering, i applied to cals...and i did apply ed...

OH well, okay, as far as I know, only kids from College of Engineering have been getting emails asking for their first quarter grades. The best thing to do is have your guidance counselor send your grades in anyway. Some colleges don't ask for them, but they still want them. Especially with Cornell ALS or AS, which are bigger colleges compared to smaller ones like Engineering.

i'd say, don't worry, have your counselor send the grades in. and wait for 9 more days = ]

you cant apply for boston college ea and cornell ed at the same time i hope you know

ya u can..BC is not SCEA...and u can apply to as many EAs as u want for ED

ladyspeedy, you can apply to as many early notification plans as you like, granted that the only one that yields a binding decision is Cornell's.

Boston College does not permit students to apply under Early Action if they are applying to a binding Early Decision program at another college.

yeah, im aware. i recieved an email, and i responded by telling them i want to be on their regular decision list. so i guess its fine, right?

Yoooo...they asked for my first quarter grades yesterday...not sure if I should be excited or not...i feel slightly happy for some reason...should i be?

yea...it probably means u're on the borderline, i think, cuz it's only a week away from sending out the decisions...

I know my guidance counselor sent mine...not sure if she asked. I always thought that first quarter grades were to just make sure you haven't fallen at all senior year. My GPA did drop 2 pts though but I figure that's not significant and I do have 7AP/UHS this year.
