am i screwed?

I got a 3 in world hist, 4 in compsci, and 5 in calc. Am I screwed? (im a sophmore brw, going into junior year in august) I wanna apply to Harvard, Princeton, Brown, UCLA, Stanford, UT, UTD, Rice, and Duke.

NO! i posted in your other thread and you really didn't have to make a new topic for this. but like i said one 3 will not hurt you long as you have enough 4s and 5s on other tests... a lot of colleges don't even take the AP tests into consideration during admissions, it's nothing to worry about

So I havent runied my chances of getting into Harvard?

You completely ruined you chances, just look at that 5 on Cal. With Priceton's AP average of 6.7 on Calc test, the is no way you will get in with that 5! Shame on you for that 5.

tsk tsk tsk

What? Alright dude im being serious. Dont mess around with me.

Which Comp Sci test? And no, getting a 3 on an AP test doesn't really matter, unless you wanted college credits, which Harvard probably wouldn't even give out (They might, I don't know).

CompSci A.

Also, a friend of mine got all 5's on all 8 tests he took and is oging to Harvard. He doesn't get credit for any of them.

They don't really consider AP scores in admission. You don't even have to list the scores if you don't want to. Either way, a 3 isn't bad. A 4 is good, and a 5 is great.

There are a lot of losers on this site(including me) but you are possibly the worst one.

not possibly....you ARE.

Dude what the hell is wrong with u guys? Why are you insulting me? I was just nervous yesterday cause these are my very firstAP exams.

You can also retake the tests if you want...

It's 10th grade first of all.

Second of all, you got 3 on World Friggen History. Calc was the main important one, which you got a 5 on.

What they're all so nicely saying is that AP scores don't have too much of an effect on your acceptance, especially becauseyou don't even have to put the scores on your application.

You don't have to put the scores on your application, but they know which classes you took, so a missing score is just as bad as a low one. A 5 looks a lot better than a 3... especially when a 5 is only like 85th percentile on the percentile-hardest APs...

^ So does that mean if you self-studied, didn't take the class, and got a crappy score, colleges wouldn't know at all since they wouldn't see the class?

whatev, i got a 3 in calc ab as a SENIOR. CHILL

Right. In fact, if you were really worried about it, you can pay $10 to withhold a single AP score from a score report, or you can even cancel at any time for free.

^^^There's no point in that because you send your scores to colleges after you get in. And at that point, a college won't take back your admission after seeing a 1 on a self-studied test.
