<p>i was just looking over my common app which i already sent in to Occidental and i realized i made the biggest of all mistakes! i used the same essay i wrote for USD for my common app and by mistake I put USD instead of Oxy in my essay!!!! WHAT DO I DO????? will this pretty much take away any chance i had at Oxy??</p>
<p>I don't know why people make such a horrible mistake, but It seems to happen to several people. Call the school up and tell them that you made a huge mistake on it, and see if you can send in another one, or correct this one.</p>

<p>don't worry, i think every college knows that as students, we don't just sit down and worship their school every day, every student applied to tons of schools and a mistake like this is 'unpreventable'. They have probably gotten used to seeing other university names used instead of theirs, so i don't think it'll matter that much. don't worry. I doubt a school would reject someone for puting down the wrong name.</p>
