FredFredBurger, please stop posting in this thread. Thank you

Fred: Simply put, I don't see how arrogance gets you anywhere. If you enjoy being better than everyone else, you enjoy being arrogant. People at prestigious schools aren't arrogant around each other, because all they have to do is look at the person sitting next to them, and, odds are, that person is either an Olympic athlete or has done something extraordinary to get in.

Also, 25% is an enormous chunk of rejections, as far as perfect SATs go.

I don't know that it's arrogence that you've got, really. Sounds mostly like competitiveness. Just watch that it doesn't overtake you or make you mean.
Try out for baseball, work on the tutoring thing a lot. Definitely set it up. Keep working on the band. That's three strong ECs. If you can become very dedicated to those over this year, along with some extra clubs (yeah, try for the Video Game Club, if only for fun) that might be enough, considering your hooks.

Tarhunt: Your posts were intriguing and informative. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I have edited and/or removed several posts because of flames. A reminder that it's fine to disagree with others' ideas on College Confidential, but don't make derogatory statements about others' characters.
