i just in not because i was lazy and didnt fill out the essayless app but because IU lost my transcript after they mailed me stating they received it.<br>
I applied before the priority deadline but they recieved all my material around december 20 something . Do i still get the 8k merit scholarship?</p>
<p>I would think you can still get one of the automatic merit scholarships. Son's transcript got lost too in the admissions office and we called and they assured us twice that the merit scholarship would not be affected by the delay. The merit scholarships are designed to attract good students, and I doubt that they turn any good students away by not giving them the automatic scholarships, especially since you applied before Nov. 1.</p>
<p>They send a letter saying you got the scholarship in your admissions package. According to the Hutton website, you can even still apply for the Hutton Honors College scholarships, which are entirely merit based, since you were admitted by January 25.</p>

<p>I second bthomp1 comments above, same situation for my D. Her transcripts were "misplaced" too even after being notified that they had been received. There has been a flood of applications to IU -- as of the end of Dec. 25,000 -- a few mixups are to be expected.</p>
