<p>I'm in my Junior year and I've made some big mistakes that I really regret. My grades are as follows:</p>

<p>Sophmore (Same for both semesters)
AP Physics - B
Spanish II H - A
AP European History - A
English II H - A
Pre-Calculus H - A</p>

<p>Junior (Semester 1)
Spanish III H - B
AP Biology - C
AP Language and Composition - B?
AP Statistics - B
AP US History - A
AP Calculus - B
*Semester is over in 2 days and these are the grades almost 100% I'll get, except for English.</p>

<p>AP Tests
Physics - 3
European History - 4

EC**
Debate Team (since freshmen year)
Wrestling (1 year - sophmore, JV)
CSF - 2 semsters
NHS - 1 semester
Interact (since freshmen year)
Community Service - about 100</p>

<p>SAT
1950 (will retake)</p>

<p>I screwed up really bad 1st semester. I'm a middle class Chinese student. Do I have a chance in getting into a decent college? Initially I was hoping to get into Berkeley, but I guess I shot that out the window. What are my chances at getting into the other UC's, USC, Claremont Colleges, or anything else you would recommend? What advice can you guys offer me?</p>

<p>you still have a chance at berkeley</p>

<p>bring your SAT up to 2100-2200 range</p>

<p>and (if possible) get straight A's next semester.</p>

<p>Your goal would be to show an upward trend academically</p>

<p>Try to show more focus in your EC; what you are doing is great but try to get some leadership positions; think about correlating your EC's with your interests as well</p>
