Colleges I want to apply to:
Cal Poly Pomona for Architecture or Landscape Architecture (I heard that only 100/2000 got into this program last year. Very selective, but this is my main goal)
Cal State Fullerton for Business Finance or Accounting
Cal State Long Beach for Business Administration/Finance

Tell me if these colleges are reach or is it possible for me to get in?? Oh and I'd also like to know if with these current scores of mine, can I get into any UC (I will be taking my SAT II in Nov).

THANKS A BUNCH!!

Here’s my answer to a previous thread, but with your stats, you’re looking doubtful for architecture at Cal Poly Pomona. They don’t consider ECs.

The stats for the college of environmental design at Pomona is as follows:

GPA: 3.64
SAT: 1111

Be aware that these are college wide stats which are comprised of more than 60 percent Art, Landscape, and Urban Planning students who do not have any impaction criteria like architecture does (Most can get in with minimum CSU req’s). I would put the average GPA for the Pomona architecture program at the 3.8 to 4.0 range while the SATs should be 1250 and up.

http://www.csupomona.edu/~irap/facts/docs/Just_the_Facts_F09.pdf

I know a lot of people will knock the Pomona program over SLO because of name recognition, but Pomona is better for design since it’s near Los Angeles and can hire better design architects. SLO is more technical and has less practicing architects since they are out in the middle of the California coast.

[Cal Poly Pomona College of Environmental Design - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Cal Poly Pomona College of Environmental Design - Wikipedia)

Nevertheless, I hope you get in. You’ve got a good background with all those ECs and the architecture profession could use more minority women. Too bad the CSU admissions policies will not take these things into account. Otherwise, it would take forever to sift through 20k plus applications.

Based on the GPA and SAT scores you provided, you should be offered admission to Long Beach.

Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Long Beach should be fine to get into. Trust me, I’m from Fullerton. I’m not sure about Cal Poly Pomona.

Lol this is late, but the GPA I put up in my first was was wrong. It’s supposed to be 3.68 and a 3.80. Oh and I applied to only SLO and CPP (both for Urban/Regional Planning). Got accepted! :3 Good luck to you guys too (I doubt anyone will read this). +_+
