All right, so here's the deal. I was accepted to UConn and will most likely be going there for business. But, am I settling? Like is this too easy of a college for me to go to? I didn't get any money here fyi.
So here are my credentials..
-rank 9/260 students
-I have taken Spanish & Italian for three years each in High School
-I have taken 4 AP classes
-I do tons of extra curriculars
-I have a part-time job
-SAT's=not so hot. 640 Math, 530 CR 540 Writing
-Good grades, we don't have a 4.0 scale. 4.85/5.7

So is UConn a good enough school for me, or am I settling?

no one’s high school statistics are predictors of whether a college will be easy or not for them.

You probably could have gotten into slightly higher rated business schools (Indiana, Purdue, Penn State), but try looking at the positive side. I’m guessing you are in-state–meaning that costs will be less and you can go home easily (and have less costs to go away each year). Probably you will have friends who will also be attending the school. The school is ranked as the best public university in New England. They have a lot of school spirit and one of the top ranked basketball teams (so attending these games will be fun).

Instead of being a “glass half-empty” person, do the best with what is “glass half full”. Lots of students are wondering if they are even going to be able to get into any college–or be able to afford the ones they do get into. That doesn’t appear to be your problem. So be thankful and enjoy your time at Connecticut.

P.S. And you still have the transfer option available during the next two years–so if you do regret your choice, it’s not an “absolute” fixed final thing, either–you can always try and transfer–although realize that to do so, you need to do well at Connecticut as soon as you go there next year.

Good luck and enjoy your college time.
