The high school that I am in doesn’t offer much rigorous classes, so most of my classes that I am taking are in a community college. Right now I am taking 3 dual credit classes and 1 honors for this semester. How many classes should I take next semester? I plan to take only 2 dual credit classes and 1 regular class at my high school since I already took all the honor classes. Should I take more classes at my cc or is this enough? Last year I took 1 AP class and 2 dual credit classes online with some honors and 2 more online classes during the summer. Sorry for the grammar.
Make sure you are meeting all your requirements to graduate as well as the requirements at the school(s) to which you are applying.
I would double check with your school to see if they are okay with only 3 classes during a semester. Our school requires at least 4.
@momtogirls2 The thing is most of the students in my high school take 1-2 classes per semester and have the rest of the day free. will colleges take these things into account? My high school isn’t that great so I’m not sure if I should take more.
Colleges will want to see you taking a Math, a science, English, a social science and foreign language if you haven’t gotten to the 4th level yet.
Although a college class would take a semester while a HS class will be given over a year.
So I would talk to your guidance counselor
You should have 4 courses -3 at the cc and one at your HS.
What courses you take also matters.
