Hi... I applied RD to the Berg... all my friends have received acceptances, except for me. They all got their letters last Saturday. Do you think this means I am rejected? Has any one not heard yet, or received rejections or WL?

My S applied ED and was deferred. We're still waiting for the RD decision and haven't received anything yet (though we're on the West Coast).

hey elliotsmom im from socal too and applied to muhlenberg!

Keeping fingers crossed for Elliott, Zach, LibbyLou and all others who are still waiting!

(I was accepted but thank you Chedva!)

Son got his letter yesterday . . . waitlisted. Unfortunately, the letter was clear that no financial aid will be available for waitlisted applicants. So, he'll decline the waitlist spot. It's off to Ohio Wesleyan for him.

Oh, ElliottsMom, so sorry about that! I hope he'll be happy at Ohio Wesleyan.

Waitlisted.

I'm disappointed about this because I felt that Muhlenberg was an excellent fit for me. I have a 3.5 GPA, several AP credits, Girl Scouts for 12 years (Received the Gold Award), community theater/school theater for 8 years, along with many school activities. I'm in Honor Society, and at the top of my class. I spent the whole summer at Carnegie Mellon's pre-college program preparing to audition for theater programs. My greatest downfall is my low SAT scores. I received a 600 on writing, 520 on math, and 570 on reading. I hate how schools say that the SATs matter very little, because it's completely evident that they base most of their decisions around that. I've worked my butt off all these years, and it shows through my grades in school and afterschool activities, but they obviously mean nothing.

I interviewed AND auditioned with the director of the theater arts program.
And it's disappointing because I clearly shouldn't have submitted my SAT scores.

wow broadwaygirl89, I can't believe you were waitlisted. I posted my stats under the geographic diversity post, and I doubt I will get in if you were waitlisted. Did you apply anywere else?

Yes, because I'm going for musical theater, and I've had to audition almost everywhere. I was SO close to applying Early Decision to Muhlenberg though, but at the last minute, I didn't. =(

And you never know! You may still get it. Good luck!
