Am I the only one

Who feels kind of good calling the police on my neighbors who play loud party music until 3 in the morning. Or should I consider myself a prude (because I feel bad about making a police person handle this stupid issue).

Don’t feel good, feel justified.

Don’t feel bad. Once I had to call the cops b/c one of our neighbours was burning stuff in his lawn and the smoke was starting to come in our house.Plus, his activity looked very suspicious hmmm…

I would be ****ed if I was having a party/at a party and the neighbor called the police before he/she talked to us about it. It happens though, no big deal. I’m sure California is a lot more lenient about that kind of stuff than my home state (North Carolina).

Heh, that’s ridiculous.

I’d feel good if they even got a ticket for disturbing the peace. There is absolutely no reason why someone should be blasting music at 3am because it’s impolite to your neighbors. I’m lucky that my neighbors are both elderly so I never have that problem : )

I wouldnt call the cops on my neighbor…I’d call animal control because ( no offense to anybody but her ) she’s a big gal and she sounds like King Kong tap dancing everytime she walks and she throws her cigarette butts and even threw paper down on our patio once so not only does she walk like King Kong she’s also about as considerate as you’d imagine him being.

To answer your original question…yes and I’d feel even better if she tried to address me about it because I love a good argument…

You shouldn’t feel bad at all.

one part of me says that it is completely justified; the other says that you’re being a kill-joy. im biased, though – in my college town, whenever we party on campus (on the weekends, mind you), we get complaints from the residents because most of the people who live here are elderly. these are the same people who you seem roaming the campus during the day… sigh

Why not just wear ear plugs? What is so disturbing about a nearby party? My housemates throw parties all the time and I just deal with it. Life is too short. Let them have fun and enjoy it.
