am i too late?

it seems a lot of people are already getting accepted or deferred.

I should have my app submitted it by tomorrow and teacher recs within 2 weeks. is that too late/ how bad will it hurt my chances?

college- engineering
gpa- 3.7/4.1
sat- 1260/1910
act-28
rank-top 8%
a lot of ec's

They review you app once all the part of the application are received. This includes your teacher recs. So even if you turn your app in tomorrow, it wont get reviewed until 2 weeks after.

i know, but because it's apparently rolling admissions, how much will that hurt my chances?

also, i took the act twice and did better on math the first time but better overall the second time. which should i send if engineering cares about high math scores?

bump......

what are your act/gpa stats...

it depends on how much better you did the second time

june act: english 24 math 31 reading 26 science 24 composite 26
oct act: english 26 math 29 reading 30 science 28 composite 28

sat: cr-600 m-660 w-650

either way i am within the 25-75 range

gpa: 3.7 unweighted
4.1 weighted
3.6-3.7 UM gpa (i think)

might as well give the rest of my info

extracurriculars:

National Honor Society(3 years)
It's Academic(3 years)
Model UN (1 year)
Math Team (2 years)
Varsity Hockey (4 years)
Varsity Swimming (1 year - new sport in county)
Street Hockey Club (co-founder, 2 years)
County Computer Science Programming Competition (3 times)
Habitat For Humanity (1 Fall)
State's Attorney's Office volunteer (1 Summer)
Filmsters Academy (4 summers)
Piano(12 years, guild participant-3 years)

work experience:

Ledo's Pizza(1 summer)
Self Employed (contracted with trx - 1 summer)

midyear:

6 AP courses this year, weighted gpa: 4.83

recs and essays are strong

so i guess what i'm asking is what are my chances given that my app won't be complete until 12/1?
thanks

Even though your math score is lower the second time, the first composite of 26 is low. I think it'll help you more to send in the 28.

Also, are you oos?

slight reach to match?

i'm not really sure... anyone else have ideas?

thanks and yes, i'm an MD resident

UM is my second or third choice. had i known it was rolling admissions i would have gotten this in a month ago and i would probably have had a better shot. my test scores are in their range, but i'm sure for someone who isn't being recruited i'm probably at the lower end. I think it is just a matter of how many people have already applied/been accepted.
