Am I too low for those schools??Please chance me.....:(

I got SAT2score today and I am seriously panicked...:(

I am applying to:

1.Columbia University
2.U of Virginia
3.Cornell(deferred at ED)
4.NYU
5.Duke
6.Johns Hopkins
7.Boston University

as BIOLOGY MAJOR!

SAT1:1510/2170(760R750M660W)

SAT2:780MIIC,Chem670..BioE660

And now here is the problem.
I took BIOE threetimes and the score I got today was 650:(
I think this would totally ruin my chance of getting in the schools I really want to get in...What do you guys think?:(

GPA:4.0/4.0

Rank:top10%(probably within 2%)

Country:Canada

ECs:+1500 volunteering hours and work experience
played clarinet since grade3 and did tons of concerts
Golf Club(10-12)
Volunteering at the hospital(10-12)
Bigbrithers and sisters program(10-12)

Festival and few other things...

Urrrr....taking Bio three times and getting 650 for the final one would really really hurt my chance...Especially because I am applying CAS....

What do U guys Think????????

Help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Taking bio so many times and still getting an average score will look bad but…

coming from a Canadian school i can relate and say that it is tougher for Canadians for the subject tests because we havent covered the material yet as our education systems are set up quite differently (APs can really only be taken in 12th year, etc.- i got 650 on my physics subject test, meanwhile i have gotten a 92 and 95 in gr.11 nad 12 physics- which is pretty good for canada)

Virginia, NYU, BU for sure in i think

other ones its tougher.. idk how in depth u have gone with ECs, and wat else u have done etc.. like sports etc. but i mean if u get the chance for an interview i would take it.. but u have a good shot for all of them.. i can see u getting into cornell in rd. 2

Biology is a popular major.
As your prospective major, it looks bad that you took the SAT Biology three times but didn’t improve much.

U of Virginia, NYU, and Boston University are likely.

The other four are reaches.

Oh my lord… I requested rescoring, because I usually got 700s when I took the practice tests..
I should not have taken standby testing in Dec.. It killed me…

I agree with Gaffe

I could see how some of your schools would be reaches… but truthfully, I’m stunned you got deferred from Cornell ED. Stunned. I bet you get in later. Your GPA and SATs are definitely good enough for admission there, and your ECs aren’t bad either. Look over you app for grammar/spelling mistakes and make sure your essays are good. Some of your other schools are reaches, but Cornell should have absolutely accepted you ED.

Sigh… Actually this year,Cornell deferred many other people with great SATs and ECs… I think Cornell is changing…

yup Cornell’s changing… they only admitted a few for ED for the international pool… i kno things could be different for citizens and Canadians…but i think the overall trend should be the same… ppl here used to say that Cornell is really easy to get into, too…

This year was the weirdest… More and more people are applying overseas ..with crazy stats U Know… That could be another reason…lol

Anyway..So, do I still have a slight chance of getting in Duke or Johns Hopkins or Columbia?
