am starting to panic!

going into my senior year, I have decent SATs (in the mid-600s), but yeah my grades suck. my GPA is around a 78, so like between a C+ and a B-. I want to go to a school between Washington DC and Boston -- but where will I have ANY chance? I knwo theres alot of competition for colleges in that area. anyone have suggestions?

Decent SAT scores, say your smart but with bad grades it says ur lazy and not hard working to colleges

You could try Northeastern, American University, George Washington and BU…you’ll probably have a decent chance of getting into those.

thanks for the suggestions so far – Im not really lazy, just that I haven’t gotten excited by any classes . . . high school is just blah for me

C+/B- would be around a 2.5 GPA. That will not cut it at Northeastern or BU. Their average GPA for enroled freshmen is about 3.7.

Your SAT’s would be average for those schools but would not compensate for the low GPA.

George Mason, James Madision, American University are all good schools to look at with your stats. Their great schools near DC. Good luck!

thanks, all! :)
