You have a 20 amp circuit to plug into?

Doesn’t say it needs any special anything, and thre are lots of reviews/users. Did I mistype something?

A standard plug, known as a NEMA 5-15 can only deliver 15 amps @125 volts = 1875 watts. From one of the comments that looked at the actual power label, this dryer is rated at 1900 watts.

It claims that it is 2400watts but when you read the stamp on the actual blow dryer it is only 1900 watts. Which is not bad and it still drys the hair pretty quickly; but if you are looking for 2400w then this is not it!

OOh where’d you spot that? I can’t find a pic with that. There was another I looked at, that listed 2200w. Was less expensive and had the negative ion thing.

None of them should exceed 1875 watts with a standard plug. That’s required to prevent your circuit breaker from tripping, and to prevent a fire.

Oh well, for $25 I’ll see how it is. It claims 2400w fan (I added a pic of that). I have several 1875 watt dryers but my favorite died so I thought I’d try this one. Rats.

Aerogardens - sounds like a good gift for my grad student son who recently said he’s interested in growing his own food to save $. But he lives in an apartment in a city so that might be a problem at the moment. Any advice on which one would be good for a beginner living in an apartment?
