barnes and nobles is pretty good too, but i think amazon has more used books.

How easy and practical is it to sell used books on barnes and noble, kguo7?

Here's a promo code for $15 off new textbooks bought through Amazon itself, not the marketplace (yes, once in a while Amazon is cheaper): TBWINTO7

I swear by buying my books online (and selling them back online too). I usually end up buying them off half. I get the title of my books on bkstr, then go to amazon for the ISBN (I do this before I'm back on campus, so I get my books early) and then search using either campusi or bigwords. I buy maybe one book a semester from the bookstore.

I bought my bio book on half for $11 (including shipping) and my bookstore was selling it for $85, plus tax. Shipping can add up (I've bought a lit of 75 cent books and had to pay $3.25 in shipping) but it's still tons less than the 11.25 I'd have to pay at my bookstore.
