Ambiguity in SAT CR Questions?

I am definitely a math oriented person but I don't have much trouble at all with the CR questions. I always get the vocab questions right because it is simply a "do you know it or not question" similar to almost all math questions.

The problem is the passage analysis questions. I usually miss around 5-6 of these questions and 0 of the vocab questions putting my score at 700-740. I HATE how ambiguous the questions are and how there are always 2 answers that seem right. I pick the answer that provides the most supporting details but I get it wrong after all. Can anyone clue me in on how to cut through all the ambiguity and see the correct answer regardless of whether or not it the appropriate answer?

I would call them subtle instead of ambiguous.
The secret is to check the answer choices carefully for slight information that is not stated/implied in the passage. They like to throw fancy facts or words and recast the sentence so that 2 choices seem perfectly harmonious but that's never the case. With practice and close scrutiny of the answer choices you will flourish.

I feel your pain with the "there is always 2 that seem right". I have just learned to pick the most obvious answer (of the 2) because it is usually right. Don't get too analytical (as most math ppl tend to do) and you should be fine. But practice WILL help a ton to see how deep CB wants you to get into the question. The "Underground Guide to the SAT" mentions some of this too. Good book, IMO.
