I was destroyed. Made AIME last 2 years from AMC 12, and I’ve done most AMC 12 As from 2006 on (as practice ) and this test felt the hardest. If cutoff is like 87 I won’t be surprised like the AMC 12 b…
@TheUltimateNerd I know that feel bro. I usually solve around 14-15 questions, but I couldn’t do that without guessing on at least 3 questions this time.

@Pinguman123 it feels a bit harder than last year. But the cutoff might not be lower, since there are so many people going to AIME
It was harder than past years, I would normally get stuck after 13 ish problems but this time I am stuck after 8 problems, time to sign up for AMC 12B now …

I am quite annoyed. I got more than one problem wrong due to stupid error in the first 10 questions … it basically just cancelled out all the work I did on the harder problems. 
I actually don’t think the cutoff will be too low. Some of the later problems were pretty easy. Too bad I spent a decade on the earlier problems so I didn’t even get to read the later ones.
Hey! I actually don’t really know now, I remember trying to figure out where to take the B test for about 4 hours last year, and I don’t know how exactly to sign up, I ll try to figure it out and I ll let you know 
and the test B I think it was in March? Not so sure though.
@imbep49 I know right!!! after the test, I was like, I should have solved some of the later problems, exactly what happened to me! people around me did really bad, even the people I thought who are way better than me only solved one or two more questions than me. We ll see

I think you could just find the closest place and contact the person in charge, and they will ask about your name and grade, school name and stuff like that.
And oops, it is on Feb. 17th, I think it is probably a good time to sign up now
first time taking the amc but i felt it was much harder than previous years. I did 14 and guessed 2 or 3. One of the later ones was pretty easy if you knew factor rules and stuff. Hopefully i got over 90…
I felt that it was easier than last year. Last year’s final 6ish problems were impossible and 16-18 weren’t much better, while this year the level of difficulty remained the same until around problem 18. All the same, I hope that I passed (I’m pretty sure I got a 99 because I second guessed myself on one of the problems qq). Maybe they’ll lower the cutoff…hopefully.
Also, you can’t really compare the AMCs from 2011ish onwards to the ones before them, because they have gotten a lot more difficulty. Best of luck to everyone here!

@bhan98 same here, I came out like a wrecking ball, I freak out so much during the test too.
That’s an interesting point, many of the students at our school also felt “wrecked”. However, we had several allegations of accessing information from this site before the tests. Although these allegations aren’t verified, we’re currently looking into this issue, including looking at which users accessed this site. In particular, one student who we know sat in the back has been accused several times.
At this point, I think I got 19 right, left 4 blank, so 120 but that’s about the highest at our school…and considering that our school’s math team is the best in Georgia, that’s pretty low…? Cutoff may very well be below 100.
Well I thought the test was not as hard as everyone was saying; 3-4 of the last 5 were guessable. Unfortunately for me I answered 22 on the test and made 4 (yeah pretty bad) sillies. Puts me out of USAMO qualification chance unless I do better on the 12B.
I attempted 17 of them guessing 3. This year actually was a bit harder but not that much harder I believe, but still very hard.
